Habitat for Humanity to Host Largest Dedication in its History to Local Families with Forino and City of Hardeeville

Ten new construction townhomes, built by Forino Co., L.P. will be dedicated to local families of Hardeeville through Habitat for Humanity of the Lowcountry on Saturday, October 19th at 10AM.


Hardeeville, SCHabitat for Humanity of the Lowcountry, together with Forino Co., L.P. and the City of Hardeeville, invite community members to celebrate the largest dedication in the organization’s history as ten local families are welcomed into their new homes at Harvey Place.
As both the Mayor of Hardeeville and a Board Member of Habitat for Humanity of the Lowcountry, Mayor Harry Williams approached John Smith, President of Forino Co., L.P. about revitalizing a vacant lot along Main Street in Hardeeville to provide much needed affordable housing. “We were more than willing to assist and participate in this community endeavor to provide housing for families of the area, especially with our history of engaging in joint efforts with the Reading/Berks County Habitat for Humanity,” said John Smith of the joint venture.
Habitat for Humanity will be hosting a dedication and ribbon cutting ceremony Saturday, October 19th beginning at 10AM at 110 Main Street, Hardeeville, SC 29927. Members of the community are invited to participate in welcoming each of the new families into their new homes and touring them. Parking will be available at Hardeeville United Methodist Church at 111 Main Street.
“We are so very excited to celebrate the completion of these homes in this unique collaboration with the City of Hardeeville and Forino… [The families have] been working hard on their sweat equity and can’t wait to start settling in and making memories,” states Brenda Dooley, CEO of Habitat for Humanity.
Mayor Williams will be speaking at the event and shares that he ‘could not be happier and is so very proud of the City and Forino for joining Habitat for Humanity to make this possible for ten worthy families. It is a showcase of public, private and non-profit organizations coming together to solve a problem throughout the region.’
