The Forino Co., L.P. is proud to accept this award from AlertTile Detectable Warning Systems as a regional leader of patronage for the volume of work our firm executes to help local municipalities, boroughs, and school districts adhere to the guidelines set forth by the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990.
The Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 was signed into law by George W. Bush designed to prohibit unjustified discrimination upon a person or group of people with a disability. Of the many different regulations imposed, one of the significant improvements made was to improve the ability for the blind or vision impaired to have a warning of a transition from sidewalks or curbs to a street and traffic. Shortly thereafter, AlertTile’s founder was already presenting a custom designed alert mat manufactured from recycled material that met the new ADA detectable warning surface guidelines for improving crosswalk corners on sidewalks. This product and many others designed by AlertTile would soon become the go-to product for commercial contractors executing municipal improvements to meet the new standards and the product we at Forino have trusted for many years is AlertTile.
We take great pride in having the honor of carrying out the upgrades in our local community for the boroughs and townships who want the work done right, on time, and within budget. it is further rewarding to know we offer an industry leading product to meet ADA specifications that also believes in corporate social responsibility. Every AlertTile and AlertMat that is manufactured and sold has a percentage of that sale donated to the Helen Keller Foundation in honor of those individuals fighting blindness and visual impairment.
