Holding multiple leadership positions in local government throughout the Mid- and Southeastern United States, Michael Czymbor provides an insider’s perspective for coordinating with local officials to provide mutually beneficial land acquisition deals in South Carolina and Georgia.
Brunswick, GA – In alliance with their expansion into Bulloch, Chatham and Glynn counties, Georgia with the opening of their third office, Forino Co., L.P. has made another pivotal move with the addition of Michael Czymbor as their Director of Land Acquisition, Southeast Division.
“We are thrilled to welcome Michael Czymbor to the Forino team…With his expertise in local government and land entitlement, Mike brings invaluable experience to our expanding operations,” said Lisa Hermanovich, Vice President of Forino.
With more than 35 years of experience in local government, Michael possesses extensive knowledge of land entitlement, capital improvement programming, strategic goal setting and planning, economic development and effective management of high-growth communities and organizations.
Retiring from his position as City Manager for the City of Hardeeville, South Carolina, Michael sought an opportunity to continue utilizing his collection of skills. Possessing an established and long-standing relationship of 15 years with Forino Co., L.P., the position as Director of Land Acquisition, Southeast Division was a perfect fit for his next role.
Michael stated “Through my extensive dealings with Tony Forino, [CEO &] Founder, and John G. Smith, President, came a strong respect for the company they have built and their vision for growing the company geographically and the type of services they provide. The Forino culture was very similar to how I managed the organizations that I worked for over my entire career, and I truly wanted to be a contributing member of this dynamic growing company.”
“After working with Michael for many years at the City of Hardeeville, we are excited to have him join Forino. Michael will play an essential role in continuing to develop established relationships in both South Carolina and Georgia, while also expanding on new relationships and opportunities,” said Tony Forino.
As the Southeastern territory continues to be the new frontier for manufacturing and industry, a need for diverse housing opportunities and commercial projects are necessary now more than ever. Adding a Director of Land Acquisition to the Southeast Division strategically positions Forino to continue growing as a quality community partner and the premier residential, commercial and land developer throughout the Southeast.
“Bringing Michael on allows for more open conversations between the builder and government officials as his vast knowledge of local government opens doors that normally wouldn’t be available without knowing the landscape. Many cities are experiencing immense migration and this mutual relationship aids with revitalization projects and providing indispensable housing at a variety of price points,” stated John G. Smith.
Michael is actively seeking these open conversations and stated, ‘many elected officials, staff members and utility authorities within the Golden Isles region of Georgia support the need and desire for all types of residential and commercial development for a greater community…I am personally dealing with several property owners who have similar visions and ambitions [as well].”
These opportunities and many more are on track to close with entitlements in place by the end of the 2025 calendar year. As Director of Land Acquisition, Michael will continue to support Forino Co., L.P.’s longstanding motto of ‘Building Confidence. Delivering Value.’ as the company actively seeks diverse development opportunities from South Carolina to Northern Florida.
