Forino is looking to add a dynamic, quick-learning team player to our staff on a full-time basis. Our company is fast-moving, always evolving and fosters a team-oriented environment. This position will report to the President, Vice President and Field Supervisors in the Beaufort and Hardeeville area. This is an hourly position.

Responsibilities

• Skillfully operate heavy equipment including but not limited to backhoes, excavators, dozers & dump trucks to complete various assigned tasks,
• Ensures proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies,
• Performs routine inspection and maintenance on vehicles such as checking oil, water and tires,
• Perform work with hand tools such as picks, shovels, rakes, etc.

Requirements

• General education — High school diploma, GED or equivalent,
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience operating heavy equipment, especially skid loaders,
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills,
• Excellent time management and attendance,
• CDL – A License required,
• Must have a smartphone and reliable transportation with valid SC driver’s license

Responsibilities

• Install cabinets, molding, and door hardware
• Build stairs, mantles and cabinetry
• Install partitions, doors and windows
• Install trim according to project specifications
• Coordinate with the project manager and communicate progress and needs
• Read blueprints and other schematics to ensure project accuracy

Responsibilities

Diagnostics & Repair:

• Construction Equipment such as cooling, intake, exhaust, lubrication, electrical, brake (air & hydraulic), suspension (air & spring), front end & alignment in the shop or in the field efficiently
• Wheels, rims, hubs and tires
• Power train components (engine, clutch, transmission, drive line, and differentials)
• Air conditioning and hydraulic systems

Fabrication, Preventative Maintenance, & Service:

• Perform cab and body repairs
• Perform other preventative maintenance as required

This job description should not be considered all-inclusive and will include other duties, as assigned, at the request of management and/or Garage Supervisor.

OSHA compliances, in addition to safety and environmental regulations, must be maintained at all times.

Qualifications

What We Require:

• Minimum 2+ years experience with a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent
• ASE Certified, preferred
• CDL Inspection License, PA State Inspection (Class 7), and Emissions License, preferred or ability to obtain
• Valid driver’s with no restrictions

• Review owner created punch list created after a walk thru, Follow up with subcontractors to complete the list, perform minor carpentry and cosmetic drywall and paint touch up as needed
• Shape or cut materials to specified measurements, using power tools and hand tools.
• Adjust kitchen cabinets and trim, or hardware as needed, change hands of appliances, using carpenter’s hand and power tools.
• Finish surfaces of woodwork or wallboard in houses and buildings, using paint, hand tools.
• Ensure OSHA, safety and environmental regulation compliance

• Smooth and finish freshly poured concrete using float, trowel or screed

Responsibilities

• Organize and direct personnel to execute project requirements.
• Identify potential design, construction, or scheduling problems and advise the superintendent.
• Interpret plans, shop drawings, and specifications to perform work correctly.
• Clarify discrepancies and questions concerning plans and drawings.
• Order materials per plans and specifications as assigned by the supervisor.
• Schedule equipment and tools as assigned and coordinated by the supervisor.
• Direct the forming and pouring of the project while ensure forms are straightened, plumbed, squared, and aligned with grid lines with correct maintenance of elevation lines.
• Shoot grades to the required elevation.
• Ensure concrete is poured at the correct rate, consolidated, and vibrated properly.
• Ensure craftsmen maintain a clean and safe job site.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of tasks involving manual labor at an efficient pace as set forth by the Site Superintendent with little supervision
• Must consistently produce quality workmanship as judged by Firm standards
• Pickup/deliver materials or products to homes as needed
• Clean the interior or exterior of homes being built to ensure excellent presentation as requested by the Site Superintendent
